Strings Audition Repertoire
For your Cannon Music Camp ensemble audition, please bring a piece that showcases your current abilities. A solo you have already been studying with your teacher is ideal. Auditions typically include scales as well. Ask your music teacher what scales are appropriate for your age and ability level.
For ideas on the kinds of pieces typically played at our auditions, see the links below. It is better to perform a piece you have been studying than to start learning a new piece from the list shortly before camp! Understanding your abilities is more important to us than hearing a specific piece.
Violin, Viola, and Cello

Check with your teacher if you have any questions about what this means. Be prepared to sight read as requested.
