Cannon Music Camp is a three-week music-filled retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The camp offers intensive college preparatory work that sets students up for success in auditions, college music study, and their own musical passions. Attending Cannon Music Camp is a great way to learn about the Hayes School of Music, our faculty, staff, the campus, and surrounding area of Boone, North Carolina. Campers learn and perform with the Hayes School of Music faculty and excellent visiting artists. Finale Performances are held in Rosen Concert Hall.

Apply to Work at Camp
The Cannon Music Camp experience depends on a skilled group of musicians who bring their own expertise to the camp and provide a safe, exciting, and musical experience for the campers. Applications are open for 2024 camp counselors! Our counselors typically have or are working on a degree in music, many are teaching in their field during the school year, and several are former campers (typically two summers or more out of camp).
Musicians interested in working as counselors may apply at https://appstate.peopleadmin.com/postings/43621. Applications close January 19, 2024.
In Memory and Honor of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Cannon
Cannon Music Camp would like to acknowledge the continuing financial support of The Mariam and Robert Hayes Charitable Trust. Without this support, this outstanding musical experience would not be possible. If you are interested, view a brief history of the camp.
If you would like to "GIVE" to our scholarship fund to help support these talented young musicians, please email us at cannonmusiccamp@appstate.edu.
